We may be able to take care of your emergency in the office, and save you a trip to the ER. But if it’s a serious medical emergency it’s always best to call 911 before making any other calls.
For after hours and weekends, please call our Nurse One Triage Service at (866) 795-4916. Your call will be answered by a registered nurse. If the nurse is busy with a patient, they will return your call as soon as possible.
Throughout the day, our physicians are very busy seeing their scheduled patients. Many of our parent’s questions can be answered by one of our nurses. We have seven registered nurses (RN’s) with many years of pediatric experience answering our calls. If the nurse is busy with a patient, they will return your call as soon as possible. We make every attempt to return all calls within one hour and often much more quickly. If you prefer to talk to a physician directly, please realize they may not be able to return your call until the end of the business day, and often into the evening.
Palmetto Pediatrics of the Lowcountry accepts most private insurance plans.
In addition, we accept: Absolute Total Care™, First Choice/Select Health, Regular Medicaid, Unison®, Blue Choice Medicaid®.

Yes, but please realize that they may not be able to return your call until the end of the business day, and often into the evening.
In the interest of keeping your children healthy, we schedule our well-child visits first thing in the morning and immediately following our lunch break. While this may not always be the most convenient for your schedule, it will reduce your child’s exposure to illness.

We are always happy to fax your prescription to the pharmacy of your choice as you leave the office. Please let your nurse know if you would like us to do so.
Please make sure to notify us that you’re cancelling 24 hours prior to your appointment. While we realize unforeseen changes in your schedule may occur, no-shows waste an opportunity for another child to be seen. Therefore, there will be a $25 charge for appointments not cancelled 24 hours prior to your scheduled visit.
We are happy to file your insurance for you. We verify all insurance co-pays and deductibles prior to your scheduled appointment.
We offer a 25% discount to all of our private-pay patients. Payment is expected at the time of service.
Co-pays are due at the time of service. A billing fee will be added to your account if the co-pay is not paid at the time of service.
