Medicaid Information
We participate with 4 Medicaid Managed Care Plans (First Choice by Select Health, Molina, Healthy Blues by BCBS, and Absolute Total Care) and Regular Medicaid.
If you have commercial insurance, this will be your child’s primary plan and Medicaid will be secondary. It is the parent’s responsibility to provide all health insurance that their child has. Failing to provide the correct health insurance at time of service could be consider fraud by the health insurance company and subject to loss of benefits. Parents will be held liable for their child’s bill, if the insurance company denies for “other health insurance must process first”.

UHC And Palmetto Pediatrics of the Lowcountry Reach Agreement
Our office has signed a new contract with UHC. This agreement will be effective July 15, 2022. As a patient there is nothing you need to do. If you transferred your care during this period and wish to come back to our providers, please call and let us know. We will make the necessary changes in our EMR system. Thank you for your patience and understanding, while we worked with UHC to resolve this issue.
Sincerely,
Palmetto Pediatrics
